The "Official" Linux Advocacy mini-Howto is available in all Howto mirrors[1]. Like the above link, it's old (circa 2000), but I somehow doubt this field has changed much. What has changed is the importance of understanding linux advocacy. Linux is getting increasing media coverage, and the public eye is being drawn to it more and more. If you actually think Linux has a shot at being anything other than something for "geeks and freaks" [2], then you should be thinking about how you portray it. Same goes for anything you're interested in really - although I'm not sure you'd be taken seriously if you try to explain the merits of gangsta rap to your grandmother.
