New business customers with Verizon Wireless will no longer get static IPv4 addresses. Instead, they will get “persistent prefix” IPv6 addresses <https://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/03/10/verizon_running_out_of_ipv4_addresses/>. I assume “persistent prefix” means they get a fixed value for the top 48 bits, and they can do what they like with the bottom 80 bits. This /48 subnet allocation seems to be the common thing for IPv6.
