We're over the magic threshold of 50 members, which pushed us into another plan as well.
But I’ve never seen 50 people turn up to a meeting.
No, they count people that are registered with a group. Whether they show up or not to meetings is irrelevant. Unfortunately, the interface only shows when they last visited the meetup.com site, not when the last meeting was that they attended (or at least RSVP'ed).
Meetup.com doesn't really seem to bring new people along to the meetings.
Actually, it did. Quite a number of people found us through meetup.com.
That’s good. But I’m beginning to wonder what other purpose it serves. I previously mentioned getting a “nice to see you” from someone whom I didn’t recall seeing at the meeting.
Looks like they were there in spirit at least... :-) Cheers, Peter -- Peter Reutemann Dept. of Computer Science University of Waikato, NZ +64 (7) 858-5174 http://www.cms.waikato.ac.nz/~fracpete/ http://www.data-mining.co.nz/
