My guess is that some posts are using "reply to all", and you're getting both the reply to the list, and the one sent specifically to you. This happens sometimes. This list uses reply-to munging, which is the subject of a religious war, and as such, a bit of a controversial issue. The upshot is that if you hit "reply" to a list post, it goes to the list, not the individual that sent it. This is USUALLY the intention, but sometimes, people are used to non-munged lists, and hit "reply to all" to ensure the post goes to the list AND the individual. Check the headers on the duplicate messages, and see if that's the case. If not, you may be subscribed twice.
