I’m not usually particularly political about codecs and don’t generally care to raise a fuss about the decoder I need to watch something. I’ll watch anything, encoding in any format I have the codecs to decode. But when *creating* a video, wouldn’t it be appropriate for someone promoting free software to use *anything* *other* than Windows Media for the purpose? I’m not even saying to use Ogg Theora; use MPEG4 or H.263 if you want. They have wide coverage of codecs on all operating systems and they’re open standards.
