It comes as something of a (pleasant) shock to learn that one of these art schools wants to teach the students to “code their own”. I thought most of them concentrated on training up passive users. No wonder Adobe can’t handle that... By the way, as soon as I saw the mention of “2D,3D,VFX and Compositing”, I thought “Blender”. And sure enough, they use that as well.
