Thanks Daniel. That'll be very helpful! As a sole user of my linux install it's a moot point but all new information is good! Cheers J On 10/29/08, Daniel Lawson <daniel(a)meta.net.nz> wrote:
Codeweavers have altered their website temporarily. I was able to download the file (it's an .sh file which I will have to learn how to use) . I've aplied for a license code and been advised that they will take 2-3 days to process due to the volume of requests.
Currently the downloads are for an unlocked release.
They are self-extracting shell scripts (hence the .sh). To install it, just open a terminal and run the script directly, eg:
sh ./install-crossover-games-7.1.2.sh
This will uncompress the archive then run the installer. IF you run this as a user, it will install into your home directory (and only be useful for your particular user), but if you run it as root (eg, with sudo) it'll install it into /opt and be available to all users.
