The most important thing (which everyone seem to be confused by!) is that you enable the "share this connection" option on the connection want to share (your dialup connection) NOT the connection you want to be sharing it with (Local network) Double check that you understand what I am trying to explain here. You want to have "share this connection" ticked on the DIALUP connection only. You do NOT want to have it ticked on the Local network.
