I have something stuck in my Trash folder that I can't delete because root owns it. Where is the trash directory stored in Ubuntu 8.04? It was easy when it was just ~/.Trash, but I've no idea where it is now -- I can't get into trash:/// through the command line. Makes me wish there was a 'delete as root/administrator' option in the right-click context menu.
~/.local/share/Trash
Also, trash is per-device. If your item is on a USB key, the trashed item will be under /media/whatever/, rather than in ~. Craig
