Worth pointing out, one important characteristic of “Pro”-class machines is their upgradability -- being able to add more RAM, a better GPU, all that kind of thing. But the architectural approach Apple has taken with its ARM-based designs is to tie all the CPU, GPU and RAM into an integrated whole such that no part can be replaced. So what you get when you buy the machine is all you can have. This has worked OK for laptops and low-end desktops, but it may turn out to be a limitation for higher-end workstation-class machines.
