As for September, how about we do a roundup of multi-media tools and giving them a quick spin. Here are some that I can think of (feel free to demo your own favorite tool!): - Gimp - Inkscape - Dia - OpenShot - Blender
I can talk on Blender, for as long as anyone will listen. :)
I'll put your name next to Blender then. :-)
I can also talk a little bit about setup for music/audio production using Jack, if anyone is interested. Though I have only lightly dabbled in that.
User interface or commandline?
I also have an old Wacom tablet that can be used to demo touch-sensitive drawing applications. This works with Gimp and Inkscape, but is particularly effective with MyPaint.
That could be quite interested, too! @John Do you want to demonstrate OpenShot? I can demo Dia. Anyone else? Or any other cool multi-media tools? Many, many years ago, I played around with Audacity, but never really got into it. Any takers?
