Hi Chris, Sounds great. If I make it there we can give it a worle. However at this stage of my understanding of Linux I am totally in the dark as to what Linuxmint is. Also to me ISO means "International Standards Organization". I think it might mean something different in your email? Hello,
I intend to be at the fixit after 1230pm tomorrow.
I've got a 64bit Linux Mint 7 ISO http://www.linuxmint.com/
Which is a polished version of Ubuntu with all the media codecs, java and flash ready to go.
With 8Gig of Ram you'll probably want to use a 64bit version.
AFAIK the Conexant support might include 32bit code which may complicate things a little. But the ia32libs might work around that.
Cheers,
Chris
I'm sure someone on the list can supply you with the latest Fedora, and if not I'd be happy to snailmail you a 64bit Ubuntu DVD.
