I know that for quite some time you have been able to buy Linux only notebooks from them easily.
And Asus are hotting up the competition. See http://news.cnet.com/8301-10784_3-9957071-7.html for the specs on the Eee Box. Asus is following the example set with the Eee PC and releasing both Linux and Windows versions at the same price, with the Linux version having more RAM and disk. I'm not sure if I've read it correctly, but it seems that Asus is also readying a "computer in a screen" ... a la Mac (just as the Eee Box is also a la Mac!) I'm currently downloading Linpus. I'll let you know it it's any good when I've had a chance to try it ... it's only dribbling in! Don't be surprised if parents or grandparents start quizzing you about Linux and Open Source. I did a demonstration at SeniorNet on Wednesday. It included a superb demo of the OLPC XO by Mark Utting. Michael
