Let’s put it this way: we probably have more experience plugging attack holes in TCP/IP than we have in USB, FireWire and Thunderbolt put together. :)
Possibly wrongly, but spreading reports of DSL router issues seem relevant here.
If every device is running TCP/IP, then your host machine becomes the firewall. Which, again, is something we have a lot of experience with.
that said, vulnerabilities have emerged in Samsung and HP printers, and I'm sure they won't be the only ones.)
Again, plug them into their own port, and isolate them that way.
