Is anyone prepared to share their knowledge on some of the aspects of Gimp at one of the meetings. My particular interests are:
Working with layers.
Creating and editing animations.
Quick and dirty brush tips Air brush settings etc.
How about we pool our resources/knowledge around Gimp for our January 21st meeting? I tend to use Gimp only for some pixel art for icons...
Since there haven't been any replies... There is an old tutorial for GIMP and simple animations: https://www.gimp.org/tutorials/Simple_Animations/ My question is, do you need to do this in GIMP or would you be open to other software as well? Since Inkscape is one of my favorite OSS tools, I had a quick look whether they support animations as well... Well, they don't: https://inkscape.org/learn/animation/ But... Synfig Studio is a 2D animation software, which might be easier than Blender: https://www.synfig.org/ Here's the manual: https://wiki.synfig.org/Category:Manual Cheers, Peter -- Peter Reutemann Dept. of Computer Science University of Waikato, NZ +64 (7) 858-5174 http://www.cms.waikato.ac.nz/~fracpete/ http://www.data-mining.co.nz/
