I did the change to 7.10 yesterday. No problems so far. To get the fancy graphics, the system insisted that I install proprietary driver for my Nvidia card - and warned me of the risks of doing so. Getting just over 1000 fps from glxgears. Google Earth is running OK too. Have a problem with my scanner, but that developed before the change ... can scan in Windows but not Ubuntu, 6.10 (which is what I was previously running) or 7.10. Need to do more investigating of that problem ... which has been noted by others (getting "Invalid Argument" message). Michael
