Daphne Caruana Galizia, the journalist recently killed by a car bomb in Malta, used WhatsApp to communicate securely with her sources. It appears part of her smartphone was salvaged from the wreck, and now the police are enlisting the help of the US FBI to see if they can decrypt whatever information can be found on it.
