The Ubuntu team is proud to announce the release of Ubuntu 6.10, codenamed "Edgy Eft". This release includes both installable Desktop CDs and alternate text-mode installation CDs for several architectures.
I'm currently downloading 6.10 i386 desktop, alternate and server by Torrent as my monthly usage expires today and I have 5 GB free! If you want a copy on Monday at WLUG tell me which one you want by emailing me at ian.mcdonald(a)jandi.co.nz and bring a blank CDR which isn't totally nasty (e.g. no Transonic) and I'll swap you one. You need to tell me by Sunday if you want to get one for sure. However if you have heaps of data cap left and if you want to help the community you can also download through bittorrent clients and keep sharing after you have finished the download.
