Amazon has been trying to register the .amazon top-level domain for years, but the governments of Brazil and Peru have been trying to stall this, just ignoring the established procedures for resolving domain disputes, which keep going against them. But it seems ICANN has finally lost patience and is going to stop bending over backwards to placate those governments, and grant the registration <https://www.theregister.co.uk/2019/03/12/amazon_domain_spat/>.
