[wlug] Upgrading to Maverick...

As far as I can tell, Maverick seems to work just fine. However, I haven't installed it yet. Has anyone here got a dual-boot system with Windows 7? I've read about this bug where grub2's bootloader is overwritten after running Windows, and I don't know if it applies to this distribution as well -- I'm rather wary of upgrading (a clean install in this case, as I'm skipping Lucid) as a result. I would like to upgrade, as it finally fixes the inability of my laptop to mute the internal speakers when headphones are plugged in (that's really the major reason why I want to upgrade; the other one is that Karmic's running rather slowly after a year).
