
"Mosh" (http://mosh.mit.edu/) sounds very useful: "SSH is a wonderful thing, but it doesn't deal very well with today's mobile workers. When dealing with iffy Wi-Fi connections, moving around from coffeeshop to home office, or just putting your laptop to sleep for a few minutes, you lose your SSH connection.
