[wlug] Problems with sending email

I have thuderbird and Evolution Installed on Ubuntu 6.10 and am able to receive mail but am unable to send inspite of giving them the correct password. When I type it in it just re asks me for the password. I wondered if it was a bug that the two programs had in common as I am able to send Email with Opera in Ubuntu 6.10.
