
For those of you who can read German and grabbed it while it was still available (it has been taken down since), the difference between the Limux study and the Microsoft study is largely that the Limux study does assume licence costs are payable to Microsoft, both for new computers purchased, and to upgrade old Windows versions. The Microsoft study does not . . . If they had, they would have to make public how much rebate Microsoft is willing to give to large customers. So we get fed partial information . . .
