Hey Steve. Thanks for the quick reply. I just changed the netmask settings but still no joy. Restarted the network connection but the netmask property under connection information remains 255.255.255.254. Like I don't have permission to change the value so its not letting me. I'm glad they have a GUI for that, I wouldn't know which file I would need to edit. Still pinging from Windows gives a time out error. Glenn.
