Minicom is indicating a much deeper problem ... almost looks like send/receive formats are not matching ... nothing "legible" comes back! Back home ... Here's the output from minicom. As you can see, Xtra (the first attempt) responded with a login prompt. Slingshot (second dial) responded with an unintelligible request. Any ideas? I've a suspicion one of the modem options may need tweaking ,,, but since this is only for a temporary solution, I don't want to spend too long trying them all.
