I have a similar problem with my ps2 connected mouse, after 10.04 upgrade it will work for around 5-10mins after a reboot (probably after a X restart) before freezing indefinitely. At the moment I have a usb mouse plugged in instead which works fine.

My keyboard is usb and that's been ok.

That's very weird. Presumably they behave OK when running Lucid from
the live CD?

The biggest problem I've seen upgrading from 9.10 to 10.4 is that
Firefox says it's been upgraded and needs to be restarted, over and
over. Three upgrades so far have done this (one network upgrade, two
from alternative cd). This problem can be solved quite easily by
uninstalling all the firefox packages and then installing it again but
it's an annoyance that probably should have been caught in testing..
