By doing this you are taking on the risk that they will not find a use and you may end up having to pay to dispose of them. So thanks for giving us the opportunity of learning on them and maybe finding a rel use for them.

I am opting for the 1U servers, as they are almost portable at 4cm x 48cm x 69cm and 17.5kg's.

I envisage that one server could be shared around by members of wlug who would like hands on experience at installing linux server software and practice at server administration.

Another would be available for Te Whare O Te Ata as the community server, should it be deemed suitable.
