I'd be happy to do a demonstration of the animation that I've experimented with. LibreOffice Draw supports a page having many layers. Upon writing and running a LibreOffice BASIC program it can control at various speeds which layers are displayed and which are not. This feature is used to produce a simple animation. cheers, Ian.
