Hi All. Just a quick note. Yesterday I bought the above (netbook/6-cell battery/ext. charger) from Noel Leeming at The Base in Hamilton for $379 ALL UP. They tried to push a $99 warranty (Consumer Guarantees Act does this so waste of $$), and MS Word/etc as well hehe. Cheapest I could find this on the ´Net was $430. Brief specs: Intel Atom N570 1.66GHz Dual-Core 1GB DDR3? RAM - Max 2GB. ~250GB SATA HDD NM10 Express Chipset Webcam Sound Bluetooth 802.11b/g/n Wireless Grabbed Kubuntu Netbook iso, created usb boot drive, blew away Win7 Starter, installed fine, sound and wireless appear to work out of the box (no drivers D/L´ed) - can see several other wireless APś in network scan so I´m guessing that means itś working. Bluetooth seems to be working (can see other devices). Not sure when sale ends, so if interested be in quick. Noel Leeming is very close to Dick Smith at The Base. hope this helps someone.
