Well, I can assure that our Engineering graduates (Uni Waikato) are being required to learn scripting and the bash prompt in their first year computing studies. So, even if the computer science graduates can't (and to be honest, I am still bumping into many computer science students who can) the engineering students can. Cheers Michael.
