I presume the Linux key maps to the same keycode as the Windows key.... and they must have changed something to get that key to open the main menu - I know on my Debian that pushing it does nothing.... do other distros use it?
There's some info at http://www.princessleia.com/Windowsbind.php (What a great domain). By default, I can bind the key using GNOME's key applet, but I can't use it as a modifier (I have bound it to bringing up a home window, to do the same sort of thing that Windows-E does in Windows.) Craig
