And then they rediscover Fitts’s Law. A panel that extends to the edge is easy to hit, because you can’t overshoot, and you can move the mouse at top speed. Leave the tiniest of gaps beyond it, and suddenly you find it takes a lot longer to access. More and more I am convinced that nobody does real-world UI testing any more. It’s all about fashion these days. Luckily KDE is customizable.
