Hi Gun, (Little to do with your current problem although it may help - just general advice that I hope is helpful....) I think you mentioned previously you were using RH9. As a newbie, you may have already come across mystifying and highly frustrating package dependency issues when using rpm that other linux versions such as debian don't have (with apt etc.). If you haven't, then lucky you. In any case, do your sanity a favour and download and install apt-rpm (http://apt-rpm.tuxfamily.org/). Very easy to use and you can bypass that silly rpm package manager and you'll NEVER have dependency issues (again). It may even solve your current problem. You can even (I'm not on my linux system right now so can't confirm this), configure your rpm downloads to come from closer/faster servers than redhat's. Good luck. Thanx John When I do 'rpm -q mozilla-psm' I get "package mozilla-psm not installed" When I do 'rpm -qa |grep psm' I get "psmisc-21.2-4" Does this mean there is another psm package installed. I can get into RedHat .com but not into the "activation " part Kind regards Gun Caundle 77 Maniapoto St. Otorohanga ph/fax 07 873 6575 gun(a)guncom.co.nz ----- Original Message ----- From: "John R.
