Just to let you know ... the combination of the two on my system (Ubuntu 6.10) is dynamite. CPU usage hits 100% every couple of minutes, regular as clockwork, slowing everything down. Stop one of the programs (doesn't matter which) and the regular spikes disappear. The problem has been noted by others.
