Don't panic too much about RH9 being "End of Lifed" by RedHat. The Fedora Legacy project will pick up security fix packaging duties. They do the same for RH 7.2, 7.3 & 8.0. Check out www.fedoralegacy.org. Or alternatively switch to Fedora Core 1.The upgrade process from RH9 is pretty painless. Regards A. Pagaltzis wrote:

On a server, this matters.. why? The security updates are very current, even if the version numbers are not. I wouldn't run Debian on a desktop, but for servers it's my #1 choice by far.
