[wlug] Perl for noobs

Hi all. I'm working on SEOing a website for a client and part of the site is perl based. I have need of a good reference/tutorial/beginners-guide-to book on perl for a short term borrow (I prefer hard-copy manuals to the web where possible) to get me up to speed so that I can optimise this site without causing headaches for the client. Can anyone help out? I've had a quick glance through the WLUG library and can't seem to find anything (I'm gonna have another in-depth look but I don't recall seeing any books on Perl in there and I know I haven't ordered any recently.
