What is the difference between US and US International keyboards?
As far as I know, the US-International keyboard driver allows you to type special "international" variants of characters such as â, ä, or à by entering punctuation such as ^, ", or ` followed by the "plain" letter on your US keyboard. There is no difference in hardware.

Ahh. That explains why " doesn't appear until you hit the space bar when using vi from the console. I guess I need to change my keyboard def to us. Thanks g -- Glenn Ramsey <glenn(a)componic.co.nz> 07 8627077 http://www.componic.co.nz
