Thanks for the suggestion, but that wasn't the case. DeLi install recognised the partitions, asking me to confirm that installation to those partitions. In the case of the swap partition it recommended that I not use mkswap on the linux swap partition. Have just double-checked ... DeLi won't install to a disk without partitions. Michael
