Oh heck yes. And it's not just your standard consumer items either. I needed a firmware update installed on my *CAR* yesterday. Even more obtuse, a chef friend of mine had to install regular firmware updates on their commercial oven. Producing a computerised product truly requires a long-term investment from the dev team to provide ongoing support. I think it'll still be five years before the Internet of Crap manufacturers realise how much they're damaging the ecosystem. *cough* is that an analogy for climate change? E
