if time allows and there are interested people there it is feasible that we could also have some other activities based around various applications etc. I've got no idea what form that sort of thing would take, if we would have time, or if people are interested in that sort of thing.
An obvious idea, which is what we did here, is to have a few people give talks. In our case it was in parallel with the installfest, and there were about a half dozen talks, the topics were things like the Debian project, basics of security, an overview of end user apps (incl. lesser known ones), etc. We also organized sponsoring by IBM, O'Reilly, Addison-Wesley and another German publisher, and they supplied us with donations in kind we handed out to interested folks.
