How about NASlite?
I've just downloaded and booted NASLite-FTP on an old machine. Very easy to start using (even for a newbie such as myself). Nice piece of work.
Thanks for the info Malcolm!
I tried the samba version.. its pretty good.. but it isnt suitable for my home lan as it only uses the local subnet, and i have more than one subnet that i need to access the data from. id also prefer something that i can name the shares to something more than disk1 and disk2 .. but its still impressive for a floppy nas unit.. i sure hope once they move to a hdd or cdrom based system they can offer things that they dont at the moment due to size constraints. -- Kyle Carter
