Yes. The more different Free Software we can show the better! There is
nothing else quite as good for easily creating scientific and other
documents just the way you want them. I was thinking of including a very
brief showing of LyX after the Open Office Word processing and
spreadsheet presentation which is scheduled for 11am, but had decided
not to, because I found the Windows equivalent is a bit tricky to
install (a few years back). I didn't want to promote anything that
would run people into trouble. Did you find it reasonably easy to
install on Windows now? Would you happy for people to ask you for help
on installing and getting started?
I could show LyX briefly, and if you can be there by about 11.15 I can
say that the Windows equivalent is running on your machine for anybody
who is interested. If you can't be there till later I can say you will
show it later.
Bring it along anyway if you can. It all helps to add interest.
