I have a problem burning Audio CDs in Ubuntu/Gnome.
I understand you can no longer use Grub and hdd=ide-scsi to achieve IDE CDROM to look like a SCSI CDROM (I tried it and /dev/hdd disappears).
You don't need to make an IDE CDROM look like a SCSI CDROM any more. Since the 2.6.0 kernel, linux has supported native ATAPI cdwriting. K3b supports this quite nicely, I've not used other gui based cdwriters recently, but I'm sure they all support it. To find the device, use: *cdrecord dev=ATA: -scanbus* http://www.wlug.org.nz/CDWritingNotes has more notes on this
