First time I've heard of it.  I use GQ too and it is pretty good.  Especially the latest versions.  I'd be keen to look at luma though.  Looks like it's a Python-Qt app so it doesn't look quite as simple as yum install luma for me... :)

didn't know of any other decent generic LDAP browsers (ones like 
DirectoryAdministrator were very much targetted at a specific use and 
schema set).

Directory admin is not bad for user management on RedHat.  Althought it can be unstable at times it has an ugly GTK+ 1.x UI.
