I'm currently downloading Linpus. I'll let you know it it's any good when I've had a chance to try it ... it's only dribbling in!
That took a long time to download ... finished at 4:15 this morning! Tried it on 3 different computers ... first one (7 or 8 yrs old) went in to an endless boot cycle, second one (8yrs old) and third (4yrs old) both failed to start X-server. Internet connection got interrupted part way through download, but managed to carry on from where it left off, thanks to Ubuntu 8.04. Checksum is what it ought to be, so file must be OK. Conclusion ... don't bother! Might take it along to the workshop to see if they can do any better. Michael
