Aren't we whistling past the graveyard here?
Why the hell should a system upgrade cause a sudo failure??
Or am I an idiot for wondering why the adminsitrator should be locked out of his system because he was bold enough to upgrade?
Has any one bugged this? Or asked why even?
A bug was linked to in about the second message in the thread. An unfortunate observation is that people don't test upgrades like this in large numbers until the software is "released". This is why you hear people suggest you (especially businesses) only run a new release of Windows starting at Service Pack 1. It's possible the issue occurred in one of the Hardy betas or RCs and no-one reported it.
