You *could* pull an mbox with the message in question from the archive [1], although that is a lot of pain to go through. If the web readable archive actually showed message IDs somewhere, you could manually add an In-Reply-To header to your message -- alas. (There's a rant about web interfaces to mail/news services and their frequent lack of message ID exposition somewhere in there.. but that's for another time and place.)
