Have you tried "Device Manager"? It should show up any devices attached to a USB port. Handling of cameras in Ubuntu 6.10 is different from that of 6.06 ... a message popped up in 6.06 when the camera was connected, but with 6.10, a manual download via F-Spot (or another photo processor) has to be done. When a USB Flash Drive is inserted, 6.10 brings up a Nautilus window automatically. Michael
