Thanks for this, both the ABC streaming site and ffplay.
I was able to listen to the two classical streams via browser or VLC. Also a detailed programme listing for their classic FM stream.�� http://www.abc.net.au/classic/music-listings/��

I tried to use ffplay, but couldn't decipher the syntax and options to use it successfully. Can you let me know the command to use, and/or a user-friendly manual or Howto for ffplay. A way of finding direct-streaming URLs without using Pandora or a similar service would also be welcome.

ffplay reports some interesting additional details about the stream:

In other words, they seem to be streaming from a Linux server, but
their recommendation is for a client that doesn���t run on Linux...
