Is there any point in turning up for an hour or two to assist with installation? I would like to help, and I consider myself fairly Linux-savvy, but I will NOT have anything to do with installing a Winmodem!
I think anyone turning up with a winmodem will be out of luck, unless they know beforehand that there is a linmodem/linux driver for it.
An installfest isn't supposed to be hard work for anyone :)

Most of the common Winmodems are reasonably well supported under Linux and don't require a lot of work to get going. Same for nvidia cards. It's well worth the effort to get these going and I'm happy to help anyone who needs it. I've done plenty already.
